The Democratic Women's Caucus and Democratic Caucus Task Force on Aging & Families hosted a virtual briefing on June 30, 2021 on supporting the Sandwich Generation and their intergenerational caregiving responsibilities. The panel discussed who makes up the sandwich generation of individuals caring for children as well as parents or older family members, and why investing in the care economy provides this generation with critical support for addressing the care needs of their families.
